Education & Playing Experience

Bev has his BS in Kinesiology from Penn State University and certification in Secondary Education in Science from Lock Haven University.  As a player, Bev played for the Premier Club, ENCO United.  He also played for Lehigh Valley Select and Southern Lehigh.  He went on to play in college for Lock Haven University.

Danny Orton – Director of Coaching

Coaching Experience

  • Second to None Soccer: Danny played a pivotal role in developing the club as it became a regional and national force in youth soccer. At STN, Danny coached the U15 and U17 girls’ teams who won the US Club Soccer Regional Championships in NJ. Both teams went on to Nationals in VA, playing against teams from across the country with the U15s finishing 3rd and the U17s finishing 2nd.
  • STN West – Danny launched STN West – a club focused on players aged 12 and below. Through his direction and leadership, STN West’s inaugural year formed 7 teams from U9-U12.
  • Major League Soccer – Danny coordinated an MLS-sponsored east coast camp tour.
  • Danny and the staff have helped 200+ players enter the college ranks over the past 15 years.
  • Danny directs the soccer programming at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre.

Education & Playing Experience

Danny graduated from Liverpool Hope University in 1997 with a combined honors degree in Sport and Psychology. He played with the Leicester Academy Program as both a goalkeeper and a central midfielder. While there, he was a member of the team that won the British Universities National Shield Championship. In his final year in Liverpool, he was the president of the university football program.
